NASA's next Mars rover, Curiosity, is slated to land on the Red Planet on Aug. 6, 2012 (EDT).1

The physics and engineering talent that go into projects like Curiosity are simply astounding. You can follow Curiosity's journey to Mars via Twitter. NASA plans to have a live interactive feed of Curiosity's landing.
